Rose Byrne was born on 24 July 1979 in the town of Balmen, Sydney, Australia. I studied at the University of Sydney. She made her debut in 1994 in a small role in Dallas Doll, and in 2000 played the lead role in the Australian film The Goddess of 1967, and since 2007 she has played Ellen Parsons in the thriller and drama series Damages, and continued to play the role until the end of the series in 2012, appearing alongside her colleague Glenn Close in all 59 episodes. In 2011 she appeared in films that were critically and commercially successful X-Men: First Class, Insidious and Bridesmaids.
