Biography, Life story

Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York State, USA, and raised in Chelsea, the daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, an Indian-American, and Rabia Amin, an 1980s Indian actress from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Khan has two younger sisters. Her original name is Nafisa, but she changed it to Gia after the movie (Gia) in 1998 with Angelina Jolie. She has appeared in several Bollywood films, and starred with Aamir Khan in Mirjadoese Ghajini, a re-enactment of the Tamil film of the same name. She was nominated for a part-starring role in Ken Ghosh’s ‘Yahoo’ with Shahid Kapoor, but was replaced by Genelia D’Souza. Despite this, UTV Motion Pictures (which had backed Yahoo) signed them to a two-year, movie deal; And Ghajini’s producer Madhu Mantena signed her for three films shortly thereafter.

Her first appearance was opposite the famous Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan in the movie “Nishabad”, where she played the role of a teenager who falls in love with the father of her friend. And Jenna’s last role was in the comedy movie “House Full” in 2011.

Indian police announced that they found Indian actress Jia Khan dead inside her apartment in Mumbai. A policeman in the Mumbai Police Control Room said the 25-year-old actress was found hanged in her apartment around midnight. The police are interrogating her maid and her neighbors and suspect that she committed suicide.

The news fell like a thunderbolt on all Bollywood stars, led by the first Bollywood star, Amitabh Bachchan, and the godfather of Indian cinema, who wrote on his Twitter site, “What! Jia Khan? What happened? Is this correct? It’s unbelievable!”
