Ibrahim Eissa was born on November 9, 1965 in the village of Ramali at the Qawasna centre of Menoufia governorate in Egypt. He began his journalistic and media career through paper newspapers, attending Rose al-Yousef magazine since he was a first-year student from the Faculty of Media. He assumed the editorial presidency of the Egyptian daily Al-Sadoum until he was sacked in October 2010 because of his insistence on publishing an article by Mohamed ElBaradei on the October war. He also chaired the editorial (Ein) weekly and is a member of the advisory body of the Arab Network for Human Rights Information.
At the television level, Ibrahim Issa presented several programmes traveling through several channels: on (Dream Channel) the weekly program (Index), and the program (Allah Alam), and presented the political program (on coffee) until the Egyptian authorities blocked this program. He also presented several religious programmes: The Awesome Programme, a biography of the life of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Omar Ibn al-Khattab, and the programme on the biography of Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Fatma, daughter of the Messenger of Islam Mohammed. On the Finn Channel, Orbit Network presented the weekly film programme (Farajah). On (OTV) Egypt presented the programme “We are here”, the programme “Gaza Taftar” which was broadcast in Ramadan 2010, and the programme “Our Country of Egypt” with Rim Majid until it was also prevented by the Egyptian authorities, as well as the presentation of the programme (with the companions) in Ramadan, which caused a wide debate over his treatment of the issue of great strife. On Al Jazeera Live, he presented Salon Ibrahim Issa for a short time. After the 25 January Revolution, he joined forces with others to create the Tahrir Satellite Channel and present the programme (in the field) on Sundays and Tuesdays with Mahmoud Sa ‘ad, Bilal Fadel and Amrou Al-Lathi, and then left it.
