Biography, Life story

Ayman Zeidan was born on 1 September 1956 in a small city called Al-Rahaib, located 50 km north-east of Damascus, the capital of Lebanon, where he lived throughout his childhood, in a medium-term family in a governorate, his father, Ghaleb Zeidan, who worked as a policeman. The artists Shadi Zeidan and Wael Zeidan are his two brothers.

His cousin is a sharia scientist in the West Emir of Zeidan. His house is the home where he acted as a nostalgic series.

Ayman Zeidan had to move to Damascus because of the father’s working conditions. There was a first friction between him and the theatre world, as he worked on summer vacation as a teleprompter of theatrical texts. After completing his general secondary school, he left the School of Law after one year and attended the School of Commerce. A year later, a performing arts institute was opened in Syria and he decided to join it immediately, aged 22, from which he graduated in 1978.

He became director of mobile theatre, and gave so much of his creativity to the national stage that he even traveled to Germany for a course in theatre directing in Berlin, but decided to take the experience of standing in front of the television camera for the first time in 1983 when director Mamon Brown gave him a role in the series Women Without Wings, after which he participated in several plays both as an actor and as a director. He performed his first film role in “Dreams of the City” with director Mohamed Malsis.

Ayman Zeidan was first married in his early 30s to a woman outside the artistic community. The marriage lasted for 14 years and the divorce was signed. He then married for the second time from outside the artistic community and the divorce was signed a few months later. Suddenly, he married for the third time the actress Norman Saad after the filming of the series was completed. (Lovely and Honest Diaries) But the divorce was also suddenly for unknown reasons but they remained friends even after their separation and together co-starred in the series Alo Jamil Alo Hana, the second part of the series Beautiful and Hana Diaries, and remarried after one year of separation, the marriage lasted for 3 years and they had a single daughter, Jodie, but divorced in 2003. He was last married in 2007 to Egyptian screenplay Nshwe Zayed, daughter of the late writer Mohsen Zayed. His son, Noir, died in 2011 from a rare form of cancer.

In 2016, Ayman Zeidan underwent stomach cutting and lost 35 kilograms of weight, feeling better and able to move and work better.

Elected as Deputy to the Syrian Parliament “People’s Assembly” for one session since 1999.
