Biography, Life story
Tony Khalife was born on October 26, 1968 in Amchit, Lebanon. He started his life as a volleyball player, after which he made his first sports program on Radio Byblos, after which he moved to Radio Free Lebanon.
In 1992, he moved to the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBCI) with the Radio Free Lebanon team to cover the parliamentary elections, but Tony stayed at the station and did not leave it. He moved from a news reporter to a newscaster.
In the year 1997, Khalifa began presenting competition programs and artistic programs, including “You Lose If You Don’t Play”, then “An Hour near the Beloved” program, and also “For Those Who Dare Only” program, and others. In 2007, Tony left the Lebanese Foundation for Broadcasting, after which he moved to Al-Jadeed TV to present the program “…for publication”.
He presented many Arab satellite channels, specifically in Egypt. In the past two years, specifically during the month of Ramadan, he worked in the Tariq Nour Media Group through the “Why” program on Al-Qahera and Al-Nas channel, which drew close attention to him and put him under the spotlight there due to the bold material presented by the program through very bold and frank interviews with a group of artists, media professionals and personalities. In 2015, Tony Khalifa participated in a committee that judged the Arab Broadcaster program with Egyptian actress Laila Elwi and Lebanese journalist Mona Abu Hamza on Abu Dhabi TV and Al-Hayat TV, and he was harsh with the candidates.
