Biography, Life story
Salma El Masry was born on January 10, 1948 in Damascus, the capital of Syria. She grew up in an artistic family, and her grandfather was the famous oud player Omar Al-Naqshbandi. She started the path of art through children’s programs. She studied law and practiced art instead of law. She joined the Artists Syndicate on November 20, 1976, and participated in many works between cinema, theater and television.
She married the late director Shakib Ghannam, and she bore him two sons: Danny and Hani. After his death, she married the Syrian broadcaster Mustafa Al-Agha, but they separated.
