Biography, Life story

Rowaida Mahrouqi was born on June 8, 1975 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to an Emirati father and mother. She has been an artist since childhood, a painter as well, and an accomplished pianist. She studied at the Rosary Sisters School. After completing her high school studies in her country, the Emirates, she moved to Lebanon to study at the American University there. She studied television and theater directing.

The artist, Ruwaida Al-Mahrouqi, married the Egyptian music distributor, Medhat Khamis, and it was the result of a love story. Since she gave birth to her son, Nour, problems began between her and her husband until she reached the courts. Finally, she left Egypt to return to Abu Dhabi, but unfortunately without Nour.. and then a case was filed in the courts. The Egyptian is in the custody of Nour and asked for her divorce, so she won the case.

During her studies, she received a call from the Art Studio program and entered it just to waste time, and she did not think that she would be an artist officially. In 1996, she graduated from Studio El Fan.. Some of the songs she sang were “Give me the flute and sing,” “I love you without hope,” and “We will return one day” by Fayrouz. For your information, she is a fan of Fayrouz.. She also sang a duet with the Lebanese artist Ziad Al-Burji, his song “Maqoul In Lebanese, as I sang I love you in Badawi. She won the silver medal in the percussion category. After the great success she achieved in Studio El Fan, she had a contract with Studio El Fan, “Simon Asmar.” But after completing her studies and returning to the UAE, the contract was terminated.
