Biography, Life story

Mai Sakkaf was born on April 13, 1969, Damascus, the capital of Syria. She studied French literature at the University of Damascus, and there her talent began, as she participated with her fellow students in presenting many theatrical works at the French Cultural Center at the university. He chose her to star in his movie (The Neighbors) in 1991, and for her success in the role, director Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid chose her in the movie (The Rise of the Rain), and her brilliance and success increased in the role of (Tima) in the series (Al-Abaid), which drew more attention to her, and her roles varied between the two screens. Big and small.

After her role in the series (Al-Bawasil) with director Najdat Anzour, she participated in the series (Beit Al-Aila), written by Dalaa Al-Rahbi and directed by Hind Midani. After that, she appeared in a different work, in a series entitled (Leshou Al-Haki) directed by Radwan Shaheen. Where she plays several roles in this work, in separate stories, one from the other, and the series is silent, and the duration of each episode in it does not exceed twenty minutes, and a group of actors participate in it, for example, Bassam Koussa and Karis.

During the Syrian revolution, she announced her rejection of the regime of Bashar al-Assad, and during a peaceful demonstration with a number of intellectuals, she was arrested. She was released days later, and a date was set for her trial.
In 2013, she moved to Paris, the capital of France.

In 2018, Mai Skaf died in Paris at the age of 49.
