Kate Middleton was born on 9 January 1982 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in the town of Reading in Brikshire, England, and baptised in Bradfield St Andrew, Berkshire. Belonging to a family considered noble, she is the eldest daughter of businessman Michael Middleton and his wife Carol Elizabeth Goldsmith. Her parents moved to Amman, Jordan, to serve as her father as director of the British Airways office.
