Biography, Life story

George Kurdahi was born on May 1, 1950 in the village of Faytroun in the Keserwan district of Mount Lebanon Governorate. He is married and has three children, Gabriel, Pamela and Patricia. He holds a degree in law and political science from the Lebanese University.

He began his media career as a journalist on Lebanon’s official television, then worked for the newspaper “Lisan al-Hal” before joining the Radio Monte Carlo team in Paris in 1979, achieving wide fame with it that lasted until 1992, during which he assumed the position of editor-in-chief on the radio. After that, Kurdahi moved to the editor-in-chief of Al Sharq Radio in Paris, with whom he spent two years, then joined in 1994 to MBC FM in London, which was going through harsh conditions at the time, but Kurdahi was able to cross it to safety before the transfer came. Quality in his life in late 2000 by presenting the program “Who will win the million” on MBC1 channel. Then he left for LBC channel and worked on the program Open Your Heart. It did not last more than a year, then he returned to MBC 1 and appeared again in the program Who Will Win the Million. The value of the prize is 2 million, then the Tenth Force program was presented, and the value of the prize is 10 million Saudi riyals.

He appeared in several TV commercials, including a perfume named “George Kordahi Perfume” and Oatmeal Harvest with his family.

In 2021, he was appointed Minister of Information in the Lebanese government.

Awards and Honors

He won several awards and titles, such as the Merex d’Or award as the best journalist in the Arab world for the year 2007, and he also won the title of Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Organization.
