Emily Ratajkowski was born on 7 June 1991 in the Westminster area of London, the capital of the United Kingdom, to a Polish father raised on the Roman Catholic Church and a Jewish Israeli mother. She grew up in California and moved in Europe and spent part of her childhood in Ireland and Spain. She joined Ford Models at the age of 14 and completed her studies while modeling and acting in Los Angeles. She became famous after appearing as a stripper in Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines video, following which she began her artistic career in 2007 by participating in i carly, also highlighted by Gone Girl in 2014.
