Biography, Life story

Denzel Washington was born on 28 December 1954 in Mont Vernon, New York, United States. When he was 14, he and his older sister were sent to a private school, and in 1977 he studied journalism and graduated from Ford College, then traveled to San Francisco to attend theatre school there, went on to study for a year, then started participating in some television series, until he produced the film Students (Depot) in 1979.

Denzel Washington began acting in 1982 in the television series St. Elsewhere. In 1987, in Richard Attenborough’s Tears of Freedom, this role confirmed its stardom and was even nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscar Festival, two years later Denzel Washington received Best Supporting Actor at the Oscar Festival for his role in the 1989 drama film Glory.

Most of his hit films were directed by Spike Lee, especially Malcom X, which gave him the second chance to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. But in 1998 he starred in the film Siege, which is some of the worst American film abusive of Islam. In 1999, he represented the film Bone Collector alongside Angelina Jolie.

Also in 1999 he co-starred in the film Hurricane, which earned the highest revenue and received many awards, most notably the Golden Globe, and was nominated for a new Academy Award for Best Actor. Despite his strong iconic roles in his aforementioned films, he won best lead actor Oscar in a corrupt, inactive cop role in the 2001 film Training Day as the second black in cinema history to win best lead actor Oscar after Sidney Poitier in the 1960s.

He is now one of Hollywood’s great actors and is also a serious actor in their accent. He has talent and harmony in all his roles full of drama, excitement and comedy, and his work is predominantly the embodiment of real stories.
