Deepika Padukone was born on January 5, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her family moved to Bangalore when she was only eleven months old. Her mother was working as a travel agent at the time, and her father is a badminton player. She has a younger sister, Aneesha Padukone, who receives formal dance training. Padukone attended Sophia’s High School in Bangalore and later did her undergraduate studies from Mount Carme College.
She started her career in art with the movie Aishwarya in 2006, then she started her career in Bollywood in 2007 with the movie Om Shanti Om with actor Shahrukh Khan.
